Submission rules

01 — Templates

01

General

We have opted to use the official Webflow template submission guidelines as the main resource to follow for all submissions. We are quite flexible when reviewing for these guidelines, but try to follow these as closely as possible.

02

Custom code

Using custom code is fully allowed, and even somewhat encouraged in order to stand out a bit.

If using custom code, you should write explanations in comments and/or on your instructions page for each library / piece of custom code you're using in your template.

Remember, we want to make it as simple as possible for customers to get started with using the template without any major setbacks. Making a template too advanced might increase refund rates.

03

Class naming conventions

Feel free to use any kind of class naming convention systems that you're used to, i.e. BEM, Client First or Camel Case. Just make sure to stay consistent throughout your builds.

04

Components

In order to simplify the experience for the clients, please wrap all repeated elements as components with all appropriate props connected & available in the designer.

Repeated larger full section components (such as footers, heros etc.) do not need to have props.

02 — Sales

01

Prices

We've opted to make the pricing of your template up to you. You can price your template whatever you see fit, no matter the amount of pages, features, custom interactions etc.

02

Sales

All sales goes through your own sales profile on Gumroad. We'll link customers directly to your own provided sales URL. Please make sure you have a verified Gumroad profile before submitting a template.

03

Commissions

Waveshape takes 10% of all sales if your template is exclusively listed on Waveshape, or 15% for non-exclusive templates.

The commissions are automatically taken by adding our Gumroad profile as a 10 or 15% collaborator in your product settings.

Feel free to offset this cost by increasing your prices by the appropriate percentage. That way you're not missing out on any money, and everyone is happy.

03

Site transfers

All templates have to be manually transferred to your customers Webflow accounts when selling templates outside the official marketplace. Therefore it's very important that you collect your customers email adress associated with their Webflow account through your sales channel.

All site transfers should be made within 24h after a successful purchase. Consistent failure to do so might result in delisted templates.

04

Support

All sellers are responsible to act as customer support for their own templates. Customers will contact you directly through your provided email.

You should aim to provide support within 48 hours for all customers. Too many complaints of slow / non-existing support might result in delisting of your template.
